by Mallory Benz last modified 2009-03-09 08:38

Students enrolled in select CPCC aging studies courses are eligible, monies may be applied toward books or tuition costs

Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) is currently accepting applications for its Cliff McCall Memorial Scholarship, a grant that awards funding to students interested in pursuing a career in aging studies.
To be eligible, students must submit a short essay with their application, and be enrolled in at least one of the following CPCC Aging Studies Certificate courses: the Aging Studies Certificate, the Assisted Living Management Training Certificate Program or the Activity Director Training Program.
CPCC will select four students as scholarship recipients each semester, honoring the legacy of Mr. McCall, a former CPCC student who dedicated his life to the field of aging studies. Recipients may apply their scholarship toward the cost of tuition or books.
Interested students may access the scholarship application at http://cce.cpcc.edu/lifelonglearning/aging-studies-scholarship. Applications are due April 1, 2009. For more information please call 704.330.2722, ext. 7289. To register for CPCC classes, call 704.330.4223.

CPCC is academically, financially and geographically accessible to all citizens of Mecklenburg County. In 2002, the National Alliance of Business named CPCC the Community College of the Year for its response to the workforce and technology needs of local employers and job seekers through innovative educational and training strategies.
