These week-long courses are designed to introduce young people to the creative world of graphic design.


GRX8650 WEB DESIGN BASIC TRAINING

A week long introductory web design class for students interested in pursuing a career in the field of advertising and visual communication. This course will concentrate on Adobe Dreamweaver on the Apple Macintosh platform.

GRX8640 CREATIVE THINKING BASIC TRAINING

This is a week long introduction to creative thinking processes for students interested in pursuing a career in the field of advertising and graphic design.

PREREQUISITES: A willlingness to think outside the box.

GRX8610 GRAPHIC DESIGN BASIC TRAINING

Graphic Design Camp is for rising 10th and 11th grade students who are interested in a career in graphic design. Students will be exposed to the basics of graphic design, including: materials, tools, comping techniques, terminology, digital tools and photography.

Objectives of this week long class include:

  • Examine graphic design careers
  • Discuss college level design classes
  • Explore fundamentals of graphic design 
  • Completion of a layout applying the skills learned

PREREQUISITES: Basic Computer Skills

GRX7110 COMIC BOOK BASIC TRAINING

This course is targeted towards individuals interested in learning the basics of creating comic books.

At the end of the course, successful students will be able to do the following:

  • Understand the basics of creating a comic book
  • Create and publish a mini-comic

This week long course introduces FLASH ANIMATION to students interested in pursuing a career in the field of advertising and visual communication.
