Topic pg safetyThe safety and well-being of CPCC students, employees and visitors is the most important concern to the college. CPCC provides many services to create an atmosphere that promotes safety while remaining conducive to learning.

CPCC Critical Alert

CPCC uses many communication channels to alert students, employees and other interested community members in the event of an emergency or dangerous situation. The college sends out messages in case of a campus emergency; to give timely warning of a crime; to warn about severe weather; or to make an important announcement.

College Security

The college’s security officers are here to help you. They work with the college community in the prevention and effective resolution of crime and disruptive behavior issues that impact the learning environment or the quality of campus life.

Emergency Management

The Office of Emergency Management implements programs and projects in emergency and disaster planning, training, mitigation, response, and recovery. The mission of the Office is to create a comprehensive emergency management program for Central Piedmont Community College in order to save lives, protect property, promote continuity of operations, and reduce the overall effects of large-scale disasters.  The Office also acts as the primary liaison between the College and outside government emergency management agencies.

Care Team

If you want to report behavior that is concerning or disruptive to the CPCC community, contact the CPCC Care Team. It is comprised of members from departments across the college and its purpose is to provide a systematic response to such reports.

Annual Security Report

The ASR report – released each year – contains three years of campus crime statistics and is designed to provide essential information concerning safety and security on CPCC campuses. The report also provides emergency response information that may help you to protect yourself and others should an emergency occur.
