The CPCC Libraries have pulled a list of titles for review and possible withdrawal and/or replacement. Please review the list or stop by our Technical Services Department (LR 406) on the Central Campus to look at the titles in person. Remember - these items have been pulled for review by librarians and faculty. Your input is valued! -
New Materials Lists by month -
CLICK - our online library catalog. Search for books, magazines, newspapers and videos in our collection. Books can be checked out until the end of the semester.

Online Databases - all accessible from home with your Network ID and password

Netlibrary - has over 22,000 completely full-text electronic books

NCknows - a 24/7 online reference chat with a librarian for those hard-to-find answers that stump both students and faculty alike!

Campus Services: a full-time librarian at each campus and regular hours at every campus

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) - Get books and articles from other colleges that we do not have at CPCC

Library Instruction classes - a librarian can teach an LI class at any campus to your students that is 50 minutes to 1 1/2 hours in length if a specific assignment is given and students need to learn about library resources research strategies. You can also call the Central Reference desk at 330-6884 to request a class.

Laptop/Other equipment checkout - Laptops can be checked out for 2 weeks, and every library has data projectors, digital cameras, digital video cameras and more are available.

Library Information Tutorial (LIT) - Introduce yourself and your students to the library and what it has to offer with this simple, modular tutorial on using the catalog, databases, search techniques, citing papers, and much more.

McNaughton Leisure Collection - every campus has a leisure reading collection of current and popular reading material like the public library offers. Best benefit? Little to no waiting time for bestsellers at no charge!

Subject Guides - Comprehensive guides on every subject and program that CPCC offers

Charlotte Area Educational Consortium card - allows faculty to borrow materials from other libraries in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg area

Reserves - use the library to place books and articles on reserve for your students each semester.

Virtual Reference Shelf - a quick reference of dictionary, citation guides (APA, MLA), maps, government, career and many other websites useful for faculty
