On March 3, 2004 the Disher Building on Central Campus was named after Bill Disher, a longtime member and chairman of the Board of Trustees. In this photo, he is giving remarks at the dedication ceremony. From the 2003-2004 Annual Report:

"March 3, 2004, the College honored J. W. (Bill) Disher by naming a Central Campus administration building for him. A highlight of the dedication ceremony was the presentation by Mark Richardson of the Carolina Panthers, National Football Conference Champions. Bill Disher served on the CPCC Board of Trustees for 14 years, 11 of those years as Chairman. The entire community mourned his death on March 27, 2004."
